Indigenous Hockey Equipment Drive

The Leaside Hockey Association, in partnership with Their Opportunity, will be holding a hockey equipment drive on November 18 and 19th at Leaside Arena. In keeping with our common goal of promoting diversity and inclusion within hockey, the drive will benefit Indigenous communities across Canada.

• November 18 & 19, 2023
• Leaside Arena – drop off bins inside main entrance
• Please NO jerseys, socks, jocks, neck guards, or goalie equipment

Their Opportunity is a Canadian children’s charity with programs and services designed to help children overcome barriers and empower youth through sport. Indigenous children receiving the equipment will be given the opportunity to enjoy hockey and the community it offers, many for the first time. The LHA is grateful to Peter Lawetz, a past Leaside Flame (U18AA), for organizing the equipment drive.
