Ted Poltoranos: Winner of the LHA’s George Turrell Spirit Award for 2021-22

Of the many nominations that Ted Poltoranos received for the George Turrell Spirit Award, this one stood out:

“Since my son started with the LHA and well before then, Ted has been a fixture at Leaside. He has asked for nothing but volunteered for everything.”

Once Ted joined the LHA in 2009, it seems like he volunteered for everything. Ted could regularly be found behind the bench of a house league or Select game. With two sons in the Association, Ted often played double duty coaching both teams. Ted even took on the daunting and universally unwanted task of House League Convenor, making sure that the House League program ran smoothly through the season. Ted is also recognized my many families within Leaside as a great contributor to the positive energy and attitude within the Association.
