Eleanor Colledge: Winner of the LHA’s 2022-23 George Turrell Spirit Award

This award recognizes Eleanor’s contribution as an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer on the 2005 Red Select team and, for a period, the 2005 A team. On the bench from U8 through to the end of U18, Eleanor is described by her team as “extremely approachable and supportive”.

Eleanor played an active role in maintaining a positive and friendly atmosphere and used her knowledge to assist players and families through all aspects of play including recovery from injury. Parents acknowledge a heightened level of comfort and security when Eleanor was behind the bench, and the broader community enjoyed her consistently effusive smile while supporting players during games.
