About House League
House League is a great opportunity for youth from U7 to U18 to stay active and build confidence while making friends and developing new skills. The main priority in House League hockey is for kids to have fun. Every effort is made to give players equal ice time and to balance teams by ability.
NEW for 2025-26 House League, U7-U9
- Two (2) separate tiers in each U7, U8 and U9.
- House League Tier - Non-CDS House League players are placed on teams that play each other.
- CDS Tier - CDS House League players are placed on teams that play each other.
- Ensures players have fun and they play with like skilled players.
- Creates better team and division balance.
- Re-balancing may occur up to Dec. 1st to ensure balanced teams as much as possible.
Players develop new skills and learn more about the game during practices and apply what they have learned during games. The season builds to a Championship Weekend and an end-of-season celebration in mid-April.
Our CDS and Select programs are a competitive extension of our House League program. Players looking for more development or a higher level of competition are encouraged to add to their House League experience by also joining the program consistent with their age.
2025 - 26 Program Features
Practices:
- U7 - U9: 1 hr/wk led by professional instructor
- U10 - U13: 1 hr/wk
- U14 - U18: no practice
Games:
- All games at Leaside Arena
- Games on Saturday or Sunday
Game Format:
- U7 - cross-ice games
- U8 - half-ice games
- U9 - half-ice games
- U10 to U18 - full-ice all season
Apparel:
- Each player receives an LHA jersey and hockey socks
Photos:
- Each player receives an individual and team photo
Cost:
- $825 for the season

2025 - 26 Rink B Renovation
Leaside Rink B re-opened on Monday January 19th - right on schedule.
House League games will be played weekly at Leaside Arena for the remainder of the season.
Please refer to the updated House League Schedule, below, and Team Snap for more information.
