About House League
House League is a fantastic opportunity for youth ages U6 to U18 to stay active, build confidence, make friends and develop new hockey skills in a fun and supportive environment. Our top priority is making sure everyone enjoys the game. Every effort is made to give players equal ice time and to balance teams by ability.
Players develop new skills and learn more about the game during practices and apply what they have learned during games. The season builds to a Championship Weekend and an end-of-season celebration in mid-April.
NEW for 2026-27 House League: U6
Due to growing demand, we are pleased to extend our House League program to U6 players, born in 2021.
For players in the U6 to U9 divisions, the program is tiered to help ensure that players play alongside others with similar skill levels. This tiering system helps create balanced teams and divisions.
Adjustments may be made until December 1 to maintain the best possible balance across the program.
Our CDS and Select programs are a competitive extension of our House League program. Players looking for more development or a higher level of competition are encouraged to add to their House League experience by also joining the program consistent with their age.
House League registration for the 2026-27 season opens April 1 at 12:01 am.
2026 - 27 Program Features
Practices:
- U6 - U9: 1 hr/wk led by professional instructor
- U10 - U13: 1 hr/wk
- U14 - U18: no practice
Games:
- All games at Leaside Arena
- Games on Saturday or Sunday
Game Format:
- U6/U7 - cross-ice games
- U8 - half-ice games
- U9 - half-ice games
- U10 to U18 - full-ice all season
Apparel:
- Each player receives an LHA jersey and hockey socks
Photos:
- Each player receives an individual and team photo
Cost:
- $825 for the season

2025 - 26 Rink B Renovation
Leaside Rink B re-opened on Monday January 19th - right on schedule.
House League games will be played weekly at Leaside Arena for the remainder of the season.
Please refer to the updated House League Schedule, below, and Team Snap for more information.
