2nd reminder CDS - Sept 11 for X (Facebook Video)

Did you miss the spring evaluation skates for our CDS teams but want to play CDS hockey this season? Come to our final evaluation skate for CDS on Thursday September 11 at Leaside Arena.

We'll be placing new players on the following teams at the following times:

  • 5 PM - 2020 DT, U7 Gold
  • 6 PM - U8 White & Orange
  • 7 PM - U9 Orange & Blue

If your player attended our evaluation skates in the spring and you were notified of their acceptance to one of the above listed teams (U7 Gold, U8 White/Orange, U9 Orange/Blue), then you do not have to attend on Sept 11.

Please Note:

  • This skate is for placement on a competitive Leaside team, not for placement on a House League team.

The LHA is deeply saddened by the sudden and untimely passing of our dear friend, Joanne Badida — a devoted hockey mom, generous volunteer, and former member of the LHA Board of Directors.

Joanne's kindness, warmth, and positivity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be profoundly missed.

On behalf of the LHA community, we extend our sincere condolences to Rich, Evan, Tyler, and all who loved her.

Call for Volunteers - House League Trainers

Join Our Team as a HL Trainer

The Leaside Hockey Association (LHA) is looking for volunteers to serve as House League (HL) Trainers for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

This is a great way to obtain your Trainer certification (valid for 3 years) at no cost. Yes, the LHA will cover the certification fee for HL Trainers! 🙌

What's different about HL Trainers?

  • Multiple children playing HL? You can volunteer across all their teams.
  • The GTHL requires one Trainer per HL game - so HL Trainers don't have attend all games.
  • Flexible scheduling - work with the HL Convenor to volunteer for games that fit your schedule.
  • Over 16 and looking for volunteer hours? Get trained for free and volunteer for games throughout the season!

📌 PLEASE NOTE
LHA reimbursement for the GTHL Trainer Course or Recertification Course must be approved before the course is taken and will only be provided to individuals volunteering to help as a House League Trainers.

Please reach out to Emily at for more details or to volunteer.
